Rollo Van Slyke,
call sign N7JQ, has this responsibility for the Alaska-Pacific Net.
Here is Rollo at the operating
position of his station.
N7JQ was first licensed in 1998 as
KD7CTQ, and then changed his call to N7JQ after earning his Extra Class
License. Rollo and his wife Deanna (a non-HAM , live in a rustic setting
near Burley, Washington.
Rollo is also active as an Emergency
Coordinator for Zone 1 District 5 (Pierce County, Washington State).
One of the things that helps to make a
great station is having a sensitive radio and good beam.Rollo uses an IC-756
transceiver, and when necessary he fires up an Ameritron AL-811 amplifier.
See the amp here:

The antenna is a multi-element
multi-band yagi on a crank-up 55' tower for 5 bands-10, 12, 15, 17 &20
meters.
Click the photo to see the antenna set
up.

When traveling, he operates a "mobile"
using an IC-706 thru a AH-4 tuner, using a CB 102" whip.
Thanks to Rollo for being
there!
